Anyone can say their kind, or chill, generous, mean, jerk, crazy, etc. However, it’s only when someone is in that person’s ambiance/vibe that can one feel their character that words from the dictionary can’t describe.
I must this say this song is one of the most descriptive and concise songs of our time. It takes us to the lens of the youth, and the different experiences that shape our lives. We’re never scared to make mistakes. Were always on the lookout for bigger and better things. We have things change through our lives, such as friends, foes, family, jobs, schools etc. Although it shows that this song speaks of making mistakes relating to love, I feel this is just in a general rule of thumb in life. We all make mistakes in life/ while in love. We all want to fall in love. Things happen, but we don’t know why they happen; the just happen for a reason. These lyrics are so good.
– Stop spending time with the wrong people.
– Stop running from your problems.
– Stop lying to yourself.
– Stop putting your own needs on the back burner.
– Stop trying to be someone you’re not.
– Stop trying to hold onto the past.
– Stop being scared to make a mistake.
– Stop berating yourself for old mistakes.
– Stop trying to buy happiness.
– Stop exclusively looking to others for happiness.
– Stop being idle.
– Stop thinking you’re not ready.
– Stop getting involved in relationships for the wrong reasons.
– Stop rejecting new relationships just because old ones didn’t work.
– Stop trying to compete against everyone else.
– Stop being jealous of others.
– Stop complaining and feeling sorry for yourself.
– Stop holding grudges.
– Stop letting others bring you down to their level.
– Stop wasting time explaining yourself to others.
– Stop doing the same things over and over without taking a break.
– Stop overlooking the beauty of small moments.
– Stop trying to make things perfect.
– Stop following the path of least resistance.
– Stop acting like everything is fine if it isn’t.
– Stop blaming others for your troubles.
– Stop trying to be everything to everyone.
– Stop worrying so much.
– Stop focusing on what you don’t want to happen.
– Stop being ungrateful.

So true. at least the ones that keep that know it, and keep it under wraps.

First off, I’ve decided that Facebook is a shithole (for people that know me, I used to post a lot of statuses). I just realized that it’s a place for bragging and attention(I.E. Check ins..telling everyone that you’re somewhere, or you made money today, or you had a bad day). I’ll post here because it’s a blog, and the people follow are are actually inclined and have a general interest in my life. My blog isn’t really for bragging either(twitter is ok)(not that I have much to brag about…)
Anywho, let’s have an update. I’ve left NY. I decided that that place was not for me in the long run…I do want to go back though to visit friends. It’s an awesome place, but not for Allan.
1.I felt that I was trapped in a jungle, where I couldn’t escape it. No nature around, no hiking, no fishing, no railing bikes. wtf. That’s like one of my favorite past times. However, I do like city life in general. How do I ride bikes without a mountain.
2. That place is not chill. It’s a competition to do anything. I.e Get food, get something stapled. There’s competition for competition— As many know me. I’m a chill guy. Go with the flow. Stop competing to get on the fuckin subway first.
3. Weather is ridiculous. I love cold, but the hot humid summer kinda did it for me… humidity is gross. I see why westcoasters never leave the west coast.
4. The job offers I received were way low…33,000… seriously? in the most expensive city
5. shit is expensive. hands down. I could “make it”. but could i make it comfortably. nope.
6. Hipsters. too many of them, I could deal with that though.
7. When I ask for directions…why is everyone a tourist. soo annoying… Finally have a “local” would be nice.
8. People overload. Can I have a moment of peace and quiet. no :(
9. SO FUCKING DIRTY. So disgusting. have some respect for your city, and clean up after yourself.
10. People are judgmental. Be a banker or lawyer, or good luck in getting a number.
11. Where the fuck can I take a jog? Oh, I can’t there’s fucking people everywhere!!!!
Why I miss it
1. Transportation. No cars. No gas. I dont even need a bus. Fast as hell too.
2. Nightlife(love hate relationship)—you get sucked into going out, and it’s expensive, but a slew of different and very very UNIQUE bars. AWESOME. bars that ahve beer pong awesome.
3. Young go getting mentality—you’re young, you wanna have fun. You wanna drink. Yep. Perfect. Diverse people.
4. So much culture and history, so many old buildings, so mahy people
5. People know how to dress. SO much better than so cal/also the clothing industry is great there.
6. Food. You can find any type of good food there, from___________ to___________. Just no mexican food though.
Anyways, Im in San Francisco now. I realized after I went to Treasure Island Festival last weekend, I don’t know why I ever left this place. I’ve visited various times, and said I was gonna move after graduation. however, as Allan Hu is, I wanted to explore other rabbit holes. I guess I decided NY was a shithole, and I’m glad I left.
Why I love this place
1. Weather. Never gets hot like LA, Never gets cold like NY. Sweater weather most of the year. Cuddly weather. I like to cuddle, but now with you.
2. Music, music, music. Festivals year round. I love music, and I love music festivals.
3. City is the cleanest metropolitan city I’ve ever been in. People take pride in their city and I support it.
4. Local shops serving the community. Markets where they grown their own food, and sell it for an affordable price.
5. People. People are chill here, opposed to LA and NY. Laid back, let’s smoke a blunt before we leave type of mentality
6. Liberal. Yeah, I’m weird as fuck. Now I wont’ be judged for being weird. I can be a bum. No big deal.
7. City and nature right in my backyard. What else do I need? Marin’s liek a 20 min ride away. NBD
8. Food in a close proximity. Food is everywhere, and close. Kinda like New York. Love it.
9. Enviromentalism— Yeah, I put my paper cups in the compost. Yeah, I bring my own cups into Starbucks. Yeah, I bring my own grocery bags.
10. Bike culture—Sweet, I can ride my bike to work safely(unlike NY and SF) Bikes have as much of right of way as pedestrians. Sweet.
11.EVERYDAY is an adventure… I walk out, bum offering me weed and another one serenading me. Awesome.
12. Constant festivals…. from _______ to__________.
13. Transportation. Not as good as NY, but still very efficient. I can get anywhere within 45 mins. No Biggie.
In all honesty, I don’t ever see myself living anywhere else(even when I get old). There’s a quiet suburban part of town-sunset, and the city itself. It’s all in close proximity. I’m here to stay, and I love this place. People have constantly said “SF is SOO you Allan”. I think it is. they were right. lesson: listen to your friends.
9/11/2001—A day that will live in infamy. A day where our securities were taken away. A day where we won’t forgot.
Live in the moment, but don’t forget the past. Don’t live life with regret cause everything happens for a reason.
Why should girls wear makeup?
They should already feel beautiful the way they are.
